I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day and glorifying the Lord. The girls spent the morning opening their Christmas gifts and laughing at one another. This was the first Christmas Kenneth was not living in the house with us. What a strange feeling... As a mother I guess you have to learn to let go and that is hard to swallow. Kenneth has his own family now and lives across town. I usually see him about once a week. Nikki misses him living with us terribly bad. She tells me all the time. But I have had to explain to her that when people get older and have to start their own lives with their own families it doesn't stop the love they have for their family (mom, dad, siblings) it just means that they love us and have a special place in their heart for us but they must grow as a person and love and protect their own family now. I told her that means that when we get to see her Bubba it means that we have to make those times special and love one another. We take lots of pictures and soak up the moments. Life passes by too fast. The girls have gone off today to spend time with their friends and family (Nik's at her dads and Kim is riding 4-wheelers). It is quiet and peaceful and I am so thankful for a day off from work to relax and so glad to have a break from school. The semester break will be over before you know and I needed it. Going to attend 2 schools this next semester, what was I thinking???
Anyway, Steph/Mom hoping you guys have a Merry Christmas! Tell my boys I love them and tell Anthony we will see him at the State Tourney in Feb. Give my love to Grandma and Grandpa and Mamaw and Papaw.
